Alumnae

Some people say that your school days are the best days of your life – and that certainly seemed to ring true if you listened to the excited chatter of returning St Margaret’s girls when they visited here last term. After delving into LinkedIn, Facebook, old school records and a network of former pupils and staff, we were delighted to invite back our ‘Old Girls’ for an Alumnae Summer Party in the playground here at St Margaret’s.

With an impressive turnout on a balmy June evening, the party saw heart-warming reunions between old school friends who hadn’t seen each other for years, as well as current staff and former pupils who still remembered each other well. Last year’s leavers mingled with retired staff, while impressively some alumnae from decades ago put in an appearance, while others had made the journey from abroad to join us for the evening.

We are delighted to share below some of the pictures from the evening – and we will be updating these over the next few months. As you can see from the impressive turnout, it was an incredibly successful evening full of reminiscing, lots of laughter and nostalgia, as our former girls caught up with each other and explored the building, remarking on the changes that had taken place. We were so pleased that those of you who could join us did and we hope you had a wonderful evening.
